Some say the world will end in fire
Some say in ice
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favour fire
But if it had to perish twice
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice
I'm thinking of developing some of the Piano Blogs into more orchestral pieces. This is the first experiment (based on the blog posted on January 31st). Tell me what you think, good idea ? worth doing 10/12 pieces on CD ? would anyone buy it ? Comments and thoughts please.
Painting by Ruth Field - Las Negras Spain - November 2017
This improvisation is in memory of Mick (I think she would appreciate the mistakes !)
and for Yvon and all their friends and family
'The sun will set, the moon will rise
Our footsteps come and go
You leave a space that no one else can fill
Whilst nothing takes the pain away
It comforts us to know
That although your song is over
we can hear the music still'
Paul Field ‘The Journey’
If I could be anything in the world,
I would be your tears
Conceived in your heart
Born in your eyes
Live on your cheek
And die on your lips
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
The Piano Blog
I'm trying to play the Piano for a while most days. Just improvising whatever comes into my head.
Just to capture a moment.
All these pieces are unedited, one take and so mistakes are included !
