How can we talk about forgiveness at such a time as this How can we think about compassion and what it really is When our common ground has been defiled How can we be reconciled How can we walk the extra mile to find the love How can we see the sense and reason it beggars all belief We cling to the promise of redemption by the skin of our teeth Through the shadows of this darkest place We find no mercy feel no grace We’re hanging onto the thread of faith to find the love For it all comes down to this, Can we find the love, take the hurt and still forgive?
